TEACHERS
QUALIFICATIONS CENTER DIRECTOR:
*BA/BS in Early Childhood Education, Early Intervention, Special Education, Elementary Ed or related field plus one year of experience with children. 1 year documented Child Care experience required. Centers provide care for infant, toddler, preschool and school age children. Supervisory experience. Good written and verbal communication and computer skills. Salaried exempt position.
QUALIFICATIONS HEAD TEACHER:

PRESCHOOL must have BS/BA in Early Childhood Education OR BS/BA in Education, SpecialEd, Elem Ed, Psychology, Sociology or other related field AND 30 credits in Early Childhood Education AND 1 year documented experience working with children

 

INFANT/TODDLER must have an AA in Early Childhood Education or an AA in Education, SpecialEd, Elem Ed, Psychology, Sociology or other related field AND 18 credits in Early Childhood Education AND 1 year documented experience working with children

 

SCHOOL AGE must have an AA in Early Childhood Education or Elementary Eduation  or an AA in Education, SpecialEd, Elem Ed, Psychology, Sociology or other related field AND 18 credits in Education AND 1 year documented experience working with children

QUALIFICATIONS ASSISTANT TEACHER
 

CDA Credential

 

OR

 

9 Credits from an accredited College or University in Early Childhood Education or Education

 

OR

 

A specialized age group certificate

 
PRE-K COUNTS REQUIREMENTS
HEAD TEACHER MUST HAVE: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Early Childhood Education or Elementary Education/Early Childhood Education, Pennsylvania certification in Early Childhood Education , Completion of two years experience in a preschool classroom (excluding student teaching)
ASSISTANT TEACHER MUST HAVE: Associate's Degree from an accredited college in Early Childhood Education, two years Head Teacher experiences in a preschool classroom, individual actively pursuing a bachelor's degree in early childhood education preferred.
